Digital and AI

Digitalization and artificial intelligence

Digitalization is now a reality in the oil and gas industry, museums, universities and other institutions. We provide digitalization services for the main slide and thin section types at competitive rates.

We will soon launch our own AI-assisted software to identify, quantify and chart palynological particles, nannofossils and more! Stay tuned for TaxaLens developments.

Thin sections

One of the most used methods to observe rocks and fossils. Key aspects or fossils are usually photographed, but not the whole thin section. This is now possible in parallel and crossed polars, in high-definition scans. Valid for rock, cement, soil, wood or any other type of thin section.

Palynology

Traditional work under the microscope captures a small fraction of the data contained in a palynology slide. High-resolution scanners, fine-tuned for palynological slides, allow the capture of whole slides, with literally all the organic particles imaged and fully focused.

Nannofossils

Extremely small and difficult to image even with the best petrographic microscopes. We use high-end scanners that allow cross-polarization and rotation to observe all the morphological details of the coccoliths.
